Saint Mary's- Caitlin

My site is the Lady's of Hope Church. So far my group has been tasked with destroying an old roof that is no longer needed and leveling the yard as well as pulling up parts of the yard that are currently asphalt. My main role, as I like to think, has been the roof. I and one other volunteer removed all of the rocks from the roof as others passed it down. After all of the rock was removed we started removing the wood that was under the rock. Most of the wood was already very rotted so it was very easy to pull off. I have enjoyed ripping the roof apart, there is just something exciting to me about destroying something. All the people who work at the church have been very kind and very welcoming. The Father even made us cookies, they were so good. This so far has been an amazing experience.
